Shirogorov Hation Zero
This Shirogorov Hation Zero has blue carbon fiber scale and inlay, and it is in pristine conditions, comes with box, card and cloth.
Sergey and Igor Shirogorov, rest his soul, produce some of the finest knives available. They’re a pair of Russian custom knifemakers with a true worldwide following. Their custom division knives are some of the rarest and most sought after on the market and their mid-tech models, which this one is, are just about the same. They feature the same hand fit and finishing and exquisite detail work as the custom division knives, without the exorbitant price tag. These are true works of art and simply beautiful.
The Neon flipper is a compact version of Shirogorov’s most recognizable model, the F95, which has been referred to as the Sebenza of flippers. Chris Reeve’s Sebenza is the production folder by which all others are compared for its simple, straight forward design and utterly tight tolerances. The Neon has the flipping action that every other designer and maker strives to achieve. It’s crisp, fast, smooth and creates a snap unparalleled in the industry. Once unlocked, the blade effortlessly drops back into the handle for another actuation.
The mid-tech Neon Zero flipper was a complete redesign of the Neon Ultra-Lite, retaining only the name and slender, compact overall shape. The changes started at the tip of the blade, more dramatically pointed than its predecessor for better penetration while the edge added more belly for additional slicing prowess. The handle was more slender from spine to lock near the pivot for improved ergonomics while the backspacer protruded further past the edge of the handle so the longer blade length could be accommodated and the lanyard hole more easily accessed. The sculpted titanium clip with hidden hardware was relocated for slightly better pocket presence and finally, it was lighter than the Ultra-Lite, even though it was a larger knife overall.
The Hation Zero builds off the Neon Zero but with a half titanium handle, i.e. the presentation scale is a synthetic material. This allows for this already incredible EDC knife to shine even brighter with improved aesthetics and overall weight. The 3.375″ drop point blade is made from Bohler M390 stainless steel with a high flat grind. The ultra-thin handle is made from seashell milled carbon fiber and stonewashed titanium with carbon fiber inlay on the lockside. The milled titanium clip is attached with hidden hardware and is one of the most copied clip designs out there because it looks amazing and just works. The Hation Zero features a replaceable lockbar insert and redesigned raised titanium backspacer. If you’ve wanted to add a Shirogorov to your collection, this is it!
