How our consignment program works
If you have a knife or a fidget toy you would like to sell through our Consignment Program, this is the right place to start. Please use our contact form to send us your consignment request. Include your name, phone number, brand, model, expected sale price, and any details about the item such as box/papers, mechanical or aesthetic issues, or other remarks. Once your request has been reviewed and accepted, we will provide you with the shipping address to send your item(s). We handle all the photography, write-ups, listings, and shipping. Once an item is sold, Fablades will deduct an 18% fee from the final sale price. The net balance will be sent to the seller in USD via PayPal within 14 business days from the date of delivery to the customer. We do not accept any illegal items (such as balisongs, automatic, or OTF knives), items containing elephant ivory, stolen items, or items made from banned or illegal materials of any kind.
Consignment Policies
We recommend insuring your shipment and using an express service with tracking. We are not responsible for shipping costs, customs fees, insurance costs, or lost packages when receiving or returning consignment items. Any additional fees mentioned earlier will be deducted from the net price.
Please contact us via email or through the contact form initially. Once your consignment request has been accepted, we will provide you with the shipping address. Items sent should be clean and in a sellable condition.
If we need to repair or clean a knife to make it presentable, repair and/or cleaning fees will apply and may delay its listing on the site. We will contact you to confirm receipt of your items.
Pricing
We offer pricing suggestions for consignment knives, but the final decision is yours. Some sellers prefer us to handle pricing entirely, while others have specific figures in mind. Proper pricing can mean selling quickly or waiting months, so we’ll collaborate to find a price that meets your goals for a timely sale. Please note, specific pricing suggestions are given only upon receiving your knives, ensuring listings meet your satisfaction. Preparation may take time; we appreciate your patience.
We reserve the right to decline any consignment item for any reason. If you wish to adjust the price, please inform us. Lowering the price after initial posting can often lead to a sale with increased exposure.
Payment
After deducting Fablades’ fees, the net balance will be sent to the seller in USD via PayPal within 14 business days from the delivery date. It is your responsibility to notify us of any changes to your email address to ensure payment is sent correctly. The sale date of an item is determined by its full payment and receipt by the customer. Please contact us with any specific questions regarding your payouts.
Damage Waiver, Security for Consignment Items
We maintain a secure, environmentally controlled facility for the protection of your items. However, we are not responsible for damage or changes in the condition of your items while stored in our facility unless due to overt carelessness on our part. Specifically, we are not responsible for rust, cracking of natural materials, or other material degradation. We have a security system to protect your items.
Managing Your Consignment Items
For consignment items, you may request removal from our site and have them returned to you at any time. You will incur the costs of return shipping and insurance.
