The KC Gray Queen Anne’s Revenge is a masterpiece of “Old School” custom knifemaking. Unlike modern production folders, KC Gray operates a one-man shop in Tucson, Arizona, where he avoids CNC machinery entirely. Every curve, grind, and fitment on this piece was executed by hand, starting from a paper sketch and plexiglass template.

Material Palette: Dark Elegance

This specific build leans into a “Blackout” theme with vibrant iridescent accents:

• The Blade: Crafted from Blackout Damascus, providing a high-contrast, etched pattern that gives the knife a dark, formidable presence.

• The Bolsters and Clip: Outfitted in Timascus (Titanium Damascus). This exotic laminate provides a swirling “oil-slick” visual that shifts between blues, purples, and golds.

• The Scales & Backspacer: Both are made from Marble Carbon Fiber, offering a deep, non-linear texture that complements the dark Damascus blade while keeping the knife lightweight and agile.

High-End Technical Details

KC Gray is known for “jeweling” his internals, a detail usually hidden from view but essential for collector-grade pieces:

• Liners: The Titanium liners are orange-peeled on the outer edges to hide wear, while the interiors feature jewel-polishing (engine-turning) for a shimmering, high-end finish.

• Hardware: This knife features Steve Kelly’s 3-piece pivots and hardware, all anodized in a rich dark blue to match the Timascus highlights.

• Condition: New from maker. While the card in your photo may be incorrect, the knife itself is a pristine representation of Gray’s “no CNC” philosophy.
