Jerry Corbit, a legendary maker from Kentucky, has spent over three decades perfecting the balance between high-end jewelry and functional cutlery. This piece utilizes a traditional Persian trailing-point silhouette but reinterprets it through a lens of ultra-premium materials.
The defining feature of this build is the extensive use of Thor Damasteel:
The Blade: Crafted from Thor pattern Damasteel, a high-performance stainless Damascus steel from Sweden. The “Thor” pattern is characterized by its tight, explosive swirls that mimic a cosmic or lightning-like effect. Unlike carbon Damascus, this material is highly corrosion-resistant and holds a razor edge.
Matching Bolsters: The bolsters are also crafted from Thor Damasteel, providing a seamless “material bridge” from the handle to the blade—a detail that significantly increases the complexity and value of the build.
Dual Carbon Fiber Textures: The handle features Marble Carbon Fiber scales, known for their deep, non-linear chatoyancy. In a unique design choice, Corbit opted for an F18 Carbon Fiber pocket clip, offering a sleek, high-tech contrast to the organic look of the marble scales.
Jewel-Polished & Fileworked Liners: The internal Titanium liners are jewel-polished (engine-turned) on the interior, creating a shimmering effect visible when the knife is partially open.
